1. How do you envision using art in your classroom?
-I plan to use art in my classroom along with different subjects. However, at this time I have only deeply thought of using art along with literature and author studies.
2. What do you know about integrated learning / integration?
-In a science course from last semester I learned that integration can lead to more meaningful connections and may lead students to deeper understandings. I associated this mostly with integrating reading, writing, and math into science curriculum.
3. Rate your comfort level in making art, and discuss.

I started as a double major in Studio Art and Art Education and then changed to Elementary Education with a minor in Studio Art. I have taken a few art classes and feel comfortable trying to make art. I do not think that I am very experienced though. I am very open to trying new things and learning more as well! I have barely scratched the surface.
4. Rate your comfort level in analyzing and talking about art, and discuss.

Much of the vocabulary I have learned in previous years has currently left me. However, I do feel open to trying to discuss art and I understand that different people gain different meaning and understanding from the same work of art.

- I know that integration is most meaningful when it is used with over arching themes. The themes can help students see the connections between subjects more easily.

-I am very comfortable with making art but I do feel that there is always room for improvement. However, I have learned that I appreciate thinking and planning my projects out and I do not like to rush the thinking portion of the project.
